Does a Catholic who married in an Evangelical Church need an annulment to marry in the Catholic Church?

A Catholic is required to be married in the Catholic Church or to receive a dispensation to be married elsewhere. If that failed to occur then the marriage is considered invalid. The individual would not need a full annulment investigation, rather he or she would simply need to provide evidence of the invalid marriage and proof of divorce.
