Is any TV show immune to the left's agenda?

Watching this final season of “Stranger Things” with my wife, and of course one of the characters has to be revealed as lesbian. Every show now has to have an “LGBT” character. On the one hand, I believe that the film industry intentionally clobbers viewers with these characters to normalize the behavior and influence young people to live immorally. And on the other hand, at this point, if a show fails to feature an “LGBT” character, it is called out as homophobic and an affront to the gay agenda. It’s like when “Black Panther” came out, finally a movie with a majority black superhero cast, but it didn’t feature any gay characters, so it was seen as a failure to the most leftist progressives.

Is any TV show immune to it now? Nobody can deny that it’s agenda-driven at this point.

I love watching cooking shows, especially Master Chef. Good wholesome family entertainment.

Only ones maybe DIY, HGTV, Hallmark. Of course, safe also is EWTN. May be the Weather Channel? Starting to run out of safe channels.

Some fans get annoyed by the queer baiting, which is a funny internal conflict, if you can call it that.

unless you live in a Catholic Republic or Monarchy… you are in a pluralistic society. The media and entertainment industry are trying to include everyone. As before they would not by fear of offending those more sensitive to differences (have blacks / orientals in minor roles.only, women in the background, non traditional people were treated as though they did not exist).

It’s money-driven. Young to middle-aged LGBTQ people are a desirable audience and customer base. Many of them are interested in the subject matter of a TV show like “Stranger Things” or a show with comic book superheroes. Also, many people who aren’t LGBTQ are interested in gay themes. If you spent any time around fan/slash communities you’d see that firsthand. Been going on for years.

HGTV regularly features SS couples in their programs

Maybe replace TV with watching movies you and your family like. Most series have something disturbing in them. The LGBTQ is sometimes the least of the problems. Sheer fun simply doesn’t exist anymore. If it’s not about sex then it’s about dark things, if it’s not about them then it’s about contemplating mafia business or other cynical yet realistic stories.
We are going through troubled waters and TV simply is not a boat for anyone trying to stay sane and safe.
I am bitter too. Not with the LGBTQ stories but with the devil being a character in so many shows I see ads about in most every transportation station and I am so sick of it. The story of the shows is dumb, same old, the devil comes to town and he’s more or less like us (illogic) just to cash in from the growing number of atheists who think it so funny that now the bad guy is just an average guy and good and evil are no longer depicted “in stereotypes”. You know what? Whatever, it’s about $$$, I get it. But I would rather just not give them audience and get myself angry and so try going out, do something else than watch their c.r.a.p. Take the bad and burn it and from that heat find something else to do.
But I know it sucks but what can you do? The majority sets the story for most but not MY story.

Unfortunately not. I watched Stranger Things as well. It’s not a virtuous show in any capacity and kind of wished I didn’t watch it. Kids using profanity constantly, one of the main characters being used as a sexual object by the moms at the pool and using sexual deviance such as potential adultery. In this day and age, they have to bow down to the golden calf of the homosexual agenda. I think I’m just going to skip it entirely the next season even though I love the nostalgia of the 80s. Not something that I think Jesus would want us to be watching anyways.

I HAVEN"T SEEN PAST EPISODE 3 OF “STRANGER THINGS.”

HOW ABOUT A SPOILER ALERT WHEN WE’VE GOT OUR NAPPIES IN A BIND?

😠

And of course they do. It’s large scale grooming. Think about it; homosexuals can’t increase their numbers through natural reproduction, so they have to recruit–the younger the better. Hence, a proliferation of homosexual characters in all forms of media for children, and more grass roots grooming phenomena like “drag queen story time.”

Showing they exist is a lot different than promoting sinful same sex behavior which is what Hollywood promotes.

It’s gone way past “we exist,” or “we just want to be accepted.” The latter is now exposed as a lie. The devil is pushing it, and he wants wickedness worshipped.
He’s not content with slaughtering the unborn. He wants little children (who do manage to be born) groomed into homosexuality, transgender, drag, and anything else his human tools can force upon them.

To be honest, that criticism was only coming from a small group of people that nobody would have paid attention to until conservatives blew that up by commenting on it. There’s a reason why it was really successful and the black community is extremely happy about it.

Probably not, if you’re talking about fiction. Writers and producers know that if they’re woke enough, they will go viral and that will bring in more exposure to the show.

Imo, I don’t really see the presence of a Lgbt character proof of an agenda unless they unnecessarily force a political message into it. Which is almost all the time so fair enough. Media has been ‘left’ for a long time. From pre martial sex to divorce. A gay character doesn’t bother me unless all there is to the character is just that.

I would get the reality aspect if a show had fifty women and one was a lesbian, that would be average. But I agree that every show with ten women or less having to have one a lesbian is sexual grooming.

I would recommend replacing cable/satellite with a Roku or Apple TV, and then subscribing to specific services that are family friendly. These devices let you pick what you want to have available. EWTN, CatholicTV (Boston), Shalom and many other Catholic channels are free. There are also Protestant oriented channels and most of them are fine, though you may have to vet them a bit. Pure Flix would be a good choice for movies. You can also find “skinny” bundles of cable channels like Philo that let you pick specific channels and exclude others but you still need to keep an eye out for objectionable programs on those cable channels.

You will save a LOT of money and sleep better with this approach.
