Is any TV show immune to the left's agenda?

To get the thread back on track, has anyone watched or is anyone watching any good series right now?

Perry Mason, Matlock, Andy Griffith, Magnum PI, Rockford, Bob Newhart, Barney Miller, Mary Tyler Moore, The Rifleman, Wagon Train. If it sounds like most, if not all I watch is ME-TV, FETV, and Cozi, that is correct.

Apparently the new “Cats” trailer is so horrible as to guarantee its status as a complete flop. You really have to work hard to make an already creepy musical into a super creepy movie.
Our whole family disagrees with the “creepy” label. I would describe the new Cats trailer as “wondrous” and “beautiful.” And as always, the music is magnificent, and hearing it sung by pop stars does not detract from it. Jennifer Hudson has a gorgeous voice and is a gorgeous woman.

And it will be interesting seeing the cat Victoria apparently in the “starring” role in the show instead of Grisabella and Old Deuteronomy. Usually, Victoria is just the lead dancer in the show, with no lines or songs; she leads out the Jellicle Ball. The prima ballerina who will play Victoria in the new movie is amazing–she dances this role like a real cat!

We are planning a family Christmas present to ourselves of seeing this movie. We’ve all seen Cats either on stage or on screen many times and love it, and love the T.S. Elliott poems, too!

Disclaimer: we also love cats, the real-life animals, and have had as many as 5 in our home while the kids were growing up. My brother has had as many as 12 cats in his farmhouse, and my dad loved cats and slept with several every night (he said they keep the bed warm!). I currently feed several feral cats who come around every day.

I think the only reason the new trailer has been met with such a negative reaction is that internet “stars” have blasted it and their minions have followed their lead. Most of them have apparently never seen the musical and don’t realize that Cats has always featured humans dressed up like cats and mainly walking on 2 legs not 4.

My only worry about the movie is that it will try too hard to find a plot of “acceptance of diversity,” which the poems and the stage version have never done. Cats are loners–they sometimes pile together, but they hunt alone, not in packs, and they don’t really care too much about each other or their humans–they just exist to eat, sleep, hunt, poop, and pee, and occasionally, permit a human to interact with them.

No, unfortunately I saw it in the theater before I even heard about it on the internet. It was horrifying.

I know many of you aren’t interested in kids cartoons, but I rece- oh dear what a mess.

Should we pretend then that Chinese-Americans don’t exist or Pakistani- Americans or French- Americans and so on and so on? The point is these Americans, though from different nations, are not represented in every television show and there are more of them than gay Americans. If there wasn’t some form of Hollywood agenda then the number of tv shows with LBGTEFG Americans should reflect more of their percentage in the population (anywhere between 2% and 25% depending on which poll you look at). So for ever 2 or 3 shows out of ten there should be gay/lesbian couples. We poor people need cheap entertainment because we can’t go on wonderful vacations so TV fits that space. We just don’t want propaganda shoved down our throat. So please encourage the entertainment business that a lot of us Americans don’t go for their garbage hence the reason why tv shows are being cancelled after only one season now.
