Is anyone doing the "National Novel Writing Month" in November?

I’ve just about given up. Only 13k words in 😦

Going to watch the Catholicism series tonight to remind myself of the themes of my novel.
 
I’m still plodding along – some days I’ve had to divert from the main story and describe cooking techniques or render family histories in brief – but have created a San Francisco 1906-type inferno to give my characters something to do.
 
I’m taking a challenge to write one page per day in December. So far I’ve got four pages written!

No if only my computer won’t crash again…

Thanks, though I don’t know if I have any reason to be proud – I was so tired of that story in the last week that I just did stream-of-consciousness rambling to get by, wordcount wise. At one point I had a character read one of the Lenten meditations I’d written that same day (my parish publishes a little booklet of meditations, but they’re written months in advance because of the publishing time) to console himself during a difficult moment. That strikes me as cheating, but I went 500 over so it evens out. Next year I need a better premise.
