I am not a member, but years ago, I printed out the prayers and prayed some of it. I still pray the Litany of Humility and the Precious Blood Litany. I think they’re a good association.
 
Is this the Litany of humility?

If so, I absolutely LOVE it.

I was wondering about joining myself. I have been thinking about it for some time but would like to feel like I have strengthened myself in prayer and practice before I take on such a task. I’m thinking I may feel “ready” by later in this year. I see one should speak to a priest about it, so before I take that step of discussing it with my priest, I just wanted to see if anyone had any positive or negative experiences.

Also, would it be acceptable to burn battery-operated candles in front of the statues that they suggest you put votive lights in front of? ? I am concerned about the fire hazard of a real candle. My mother would never burn her blessed candle anywhere but the sink, for the same reason.

My experience thus far has been positive. Like in any deepening of devotion or new ministry, we should first seek to root out fault so to better serve God, hoping to strengthen our faith and serve with deeper love of God and neighbor. I mention this because like you said, one should discern whether they are prepared to focus on this type of ministry. This spiritual group is dedicated to the glorification of God through prayer for those who are suffering from spiritual attacks, that through these sufferings they can grow in closeness to God, allowing Him to work and root out the evil in their lives. If you begin this ministry you must be constantly aware of yourself, reminding yourself that it is all for the sake that God’s will be done. If at times, like in all of our spiritual journies, you find yourself falling away or becoming spiritually slothful, take a step back and take time to refocus on your spiritual needs. Then, continue praying for others. We must allow God to work in us as much as we ask Him to work in others. Not sure if this has helped or answered your question, let me know if it hasn’t.
Lighting an electronic candle doesn’t have the same effect a blessed votive candle has but it is a good symbol of the light that Christ provides to those in darkness, and yes, it is safe.

And yes, I don’t want to do it until I’ve spent a couple of years getting strong for the task. I’ve been pursuing a serious prayer life for about a year now during which I primarily pray for others, and I probably would not be ready for something like this till at least the end of this year.

I could light a real candle for an hour a day when I was there to watch it. Perhaps that would be sufficient.
