I know this forum has in the past had several threads on the “Unbound” ministry, which some called a “deliverance ministry”. Archbishop Chaput is currently endorsing this program, which apparently trains people to pray with those who are experiencing an issue in their lives.
Here is the diocesan link with the endorsements from the Archbishop. (Some of the previous threads on this topic seemed to be suggesting this type of ministry was not appropriate for Catholics. If Archbishop Chaput is pushing it, that would seem to settle the question in its favor.)

Has anyone here been involved in this ministry? I am considering attending a conference. I do not need to be prayed for in this way, but am interested in seeing if I could possibly help by praying for others, if indeed somebody like me who’s not a priest, deacon, religious order member, or involved in other parish ministries could do so.
