Is anyone watching The Twilight Zone marathon on television today?

oh I haven’t seen that in so long! I think I remember now.

I just saw Brian Ahern in a mystery the other day with Loretta Young. can’t remember the name.

Yes, Gladys Cooper does a nice job. Redford is just looking good - more like modeling. 🙂 I must say, having met him in person, in real life he is a nice person who means well.

John Carradine, with his magnificent voice and larger-than-life acting style, plays the role of Brother Jerome to the hilt!

good lost that battle, at least in the show… 😦
 
The one I liked but isnt shown often is the one where a homeless, seemingly unhappy man gets thrown out of a bar on christmas, finds a sack that produces gifts of whatever it is asked, police haul him in, but the sack produces a bottle of whiskey, apparently just what the cop was wanting for christmas!! then he goes into an alley and finds reindeer, hooked up to a sleigh, and he is heard flying in the dark skies wishing everyone a merry christmas.

Another one, I thought was a great portrayal of mans evil, I think was called invasion of maple street, where everyone is suspicious of neighbors after hearing a teen boy talk about aliens, they eventually kill a neighbor guy who they thought was really an alien, in the end, none of them were alien, the real aliens were experimenting on the townspeople!

Whoever wrote all those TZ episodes was really thinking outside the box for that time!

Both of these episodes were shown on the TZ marathon. The first, which was called “The Night of the Meek,” starred Art Carney as the “real” Santa Claus. “The Monsters are due on Maple Street,” featured Claude Akins, John Weston, and other stars.
 
Did they show the one and only episode that had a laugh track? It starred Carol Burnett.
 
If you think about, the very first TZ episode, the one with the rural woman, going about her daily life, cooking, etc no words are ever spoken, IMO, that episode pretty much sums up the entire series, always that big ‘surprise’ in the end, that puts everything into perspective.
