Hello all!

I love studying Theology and spirituality and how various parts of the Church express the same truth, but from different ways of expressing it. The Byzantine tradition seems to be so rich in this. I had somehow stumbled on a section devoted to books on this subject on the Madonna House website.

Here’s the link: madonnahouse.org/publications/raya/index.html

I’ve heard good things about him. What books would you recommend I or another person not familiar with the Byzantine tradition read.

Al-Masih Qam!

Short answer, YES to books by the Archbishop. I think The Face Of God would be a great one to have but I think out of print at Madonna House,. Maybe there is someplace else to get this? Aother good one is Eyes of the Gospel,by him I think that is the title… Maybe someone here can suggest can suggest some others.

What church is Tomas Cardinal Spidlik in?
He was born and raised in the Czech Republic, but now he is Cardinal Deacon of St. Agatha of Goti. I believe he has been in the Latin church his whole life, but he is a most knowledgeable scholar in Eastern Christian studies.

Prayers and petitions,
Alexius:cool:
