Is Arriving to Mass just in time to receive the Eucharist sinful?

My understanding is that one is able to receive the Eucharist even though arriving late to Church, and arrives on-time just to receive the Sacrament. I realize this does not fulfill the Sunday obligation of Mass if occuring on the same day, and one would then have the obligation to go to another Mass on that day. Is this correct info?
