Yes. His lecture at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary would suggest that he is indeed Catholic, as he speaks about deepening “our Catholic faith.” (YouTube - 2014-10-02, Dr. Thomas F. Madden - Catholic History: Dispelling the Myths)

There was a similar thread in 2008 asking this question, and, upon finding evidence, I thought I would reopen the topic.

Does anyone else have further information?
 
In looking around on his own website and the Wikipedia article about him, I cannot see anything that makes reference to which religious faith tradition he claims for himself.
 
It does seem like a reasonable assumption given everything I have seen. I didn’t come across anything that stated it explicitly, though. I didn’t look for very long, though.
