I asked my co-worker this question and she referred me to this site. She is Catholic and I am Pentecostal. In the church I am in it teaches bapitism in the name of Jesus Christ.
However, as I read through the bible at the end of Mark Jesus gives a commission to the apostles to baptize in the name of the Father, Son, holy Spirit. Yet in Acts chapters 2 and 11 Peter baptizes in the name of Jesus Christ. My church says “in the name of Jesus Christ” yet many others say “Father, Son, Holy Spirt”.
Which one is more appropriate and why?
