I could go on for an hour explaining the Marian doctrines to my Anglican friend, but I can’t answer his simple question: “Are the teachings of Mary dogmatic - required to become a Catholic?”
Please keep in mind that Anglicans feel they are an equivalent branch of the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church. And, so my friend believes that, just as Anglicans deviated from “Rome” on teachings of Contraception, Rome has deviated from “England” in matters of Marian doctrine.
Thank you and may God bless you!
