Is Belinda Carlisle's song "Heaven Is a Place on Earth" morally offensive?

She’s cute. Why must you give her a hard time like this.

(The 80’s video is terribly goofy, however, I must say.)

You don’t say?

Good grief.

Neither is hell, and having been deployed I’ve been in a few situations that I might have characterized as hell on earth…

It’s just a song. Now, if someone tried to use it as a hymn . . .

I love you birdman. 💕💕💕😍😍😍

Catholicly, of course. (I tell my airmen I love them “professionally”, so I’m chuckling a bit here.)

Thanks!! I understand. I’ve been out doing maneuvers with my gang. Stephie thinks I run with those slow “Ospreys”…we’ll just let her continue to underestimate my abilities. These critters below are pretty amazing, but one thing they can’t do is catch fish.

“If I owned hell and Branson MO, I’d rent out Branson and live in hell”

I suppose posting AC/DC would be bad form??

I would say not only is it not offensive, I sometimes wonder if some of the beauty and joy we experience on earth is a precursor to the joy we will find in heaven. It is only my opinion, but I think sometimes God affords us a peak. Just look at the incredible color of fall leaves, the intricacy and magnificence of flowers and snow capped mountains, the love and hope, and faith, and trust in the eyes of a five year old on Christmas morning. It’s just me but sometimes, if you look hard enough, you get a taste.

The Kingdom of God is on earth and in Heaven.

How would you know where Heaven is located?

Now now. I’m sure there’s a perfectly reasonable reason for why a bunch of people stood in a room with globes.

And as a side note, I actually like the Gregorian (name of a cover group) version better than Belinda’s, still pretty good, original.

Never! They actually sing about hell. And turning from doing bad

I LOVE that version. One of my favorite Christmas albums. The year it came out, I was working part time in a record store and we played this one over and over. Brings back many great memories.
