Is there anything in church teaching that would prohibit the burying of a statue of St. Joseph to help with selling your house? I assume that it is just a physical act to go along with your asking him to intercede for you, correct?

Hi,

I’m sorry to disappoint you, but such behavior is not supported by the Catholic Church because it is superstition. Everything we do, we do according to a rational a context. There is no ryme nor reason to burying a statue so that one will sell one’s house. This has nothing to do with anything. There is no rational context here. Acting from superstition is opposed to trusting in God and is therefore sinful.
