Is Catholicism a pagan religion?

As a devout Catholic I not only follow church doctrines but I also try to understand the history behind these teachings. I read this article that says Catholicism branched out of Paganism c/o Constantine the Great. gotquestions.org/origin-Catholic-church.html Another source is the documentary Zeitgeist that is not too far from the theories in the article. I as a Catholic values our historical background greatly and this is a huge blow to our Catholic tradition.

I know this may not be true, but I need facts to tell myself that it isn’t. I know that this site is a Evangelical Christian site that is trying to bring down the Catholic Church without knowing that by following “Sola Scriptura” they left out a lot of traditions and historical events that happened in the Church. And they unknowingly stated that, if the Catholic Church was manipulated by Constantine, the bible is not too far off to be manipulated as well.
