I heard a Protestant pastor this morning say" The most important thing is your relationship with God. Just work on that and everything else will fall into place."
Too simplistic? Sometimes I think they have a point. That is the most important thing, to my way of thinking.
I can see the advantages of keeping it simple for parishioners.
