Allah is the same word used by Arabic speaking Christians to refer to God, as it is a word which means God, much like our word, “God”, though if you forget capitalization, it can refer to even lowly kami of shintoism.

The Hadith are very strange, and partially show how crazy it is to believe in Islam.

Some of the Israelites, the Bible records and findings confirm, worshipped this goddess as if God were married to her. This was wrong. But did they worship a different YHWH, because they ascribed false things to Him?

Allah is used by Christians only recently… Arab christians used Elaha to refer to Gd. It is actually from Aramaic El refers to divinity in Hebrew while al refers to a definite article in Arabic. Through cultural imperialism Allah was adopted by Arab Christians adopted Allah. There was already a Quarashi deity called al-Lah which is synonymous with the Nabatean deity Hubal.

Yes from time to time the Jews fell into idolatry and associated goddesses with Gd. But the Mishna is clear, they did not worship Gd but idols. The rabbi are clear on this, by giving Gd wives they stop worshiping Gd and began to worship idols instead . So you are indeed correct.

You’re saying the Arabic Christians had used the Aramaic?
In Arabic, Allah comes from al (definite article) and ilah (god)…
Are you saying it is actually referring to a specific idol worshipped at Mecca?

First you need to study history. Are the copts Arabs? Are the Syrians Arabs? Are the Iraqis Arabs? These were people who were conquered by the Arabs and who became “arabs” through cultural imperialism. The whole regions of the middle east already had a people who lost their identity through Arab conquest and cultural imperialism. So the reality is that none of the people we identify as Arabs (apart from those in the peninsula) are actual arabs. The Christians in these regions who identify themselves as Arabs are from much older cultures than the Arabs.

Allah comes from the the pagan arab deity al-Lah or the deity Lah (lat, ussa and manat being others). ilah does mean gd. But Lah (or as he is addressed is al-Lah), So yes Lah was a specific deity worshiped by the Quraish tribe which is the tribe Momo belonged to. He is the deity who had the wives al-Lat, al-Manat and al-Ussa. Do you remember Salman Rushdie saga? All those who translated the book being murdered by Muslims? These verses were in the Qur’an and this is what Rushdie wrote about and that is when he was given the death penalty for the book Satanic Verses. Momo was possessed by Satan - and this is what Rushdi was alluding to in his book. If you read back I have listed a couple of ahadith regarding the possession of Momo

I believe the great indicator to Mohammeds inspiration by evil was that he himself thought he would be seen as possessed and tried to kill himself multiple times over it.

Regarding the satanic verses, many will say, this is not approved Hadith as authentic.

Yes, Momo received “revelation” in a dark cave and then Nafwal died and the revelations stopped. He believed that he was possessed by demons and tried to commit suicide by trying to jump off the cliff. what is so funny is that in Arabic lore the devil comes through the chiming of bells and Momo claimed when Jibril came to him he came with the chiming of bells. Talk about sticking your foot in your mouth! Elsewhere when momo was asked as to what Jibril looked like he described Dahya (Momo’s boyfriend) When a Jew say Dahya leave Momo’s residence the Jews asked Momo who that was and Momo replied that was Jibril.

Regarding the satanic verses, many will say, this is not approved Hadith as authentic.

This is not ahadith, it was in the Qur’an !!!

On the other hand… there is no such thing as “approved ahadith” there is the Kutub al-Sittah which is what I use because they cannot run away from these.

Truth be told the current Cairo Qur’an which is the Abu Bakr Asim - Hafs Qur’an would be classified as a Mawdu as if the name Hafs appears in ANY Ahadith it will be classified as Mawdu as Hafs had a reputation as a fabricator, thief and liar. Muslims accept his Qur’an but do not accept his ahadith Go figure LOL LOL LOL

Yes, the claim is that it was in the Qur’an, but the source saying that is so, is what they will say it is not authentic.

I should have explained who Nawfal was. Nawfal ibn Khuwaylid was described as “Nesora” was a Nesorian Gnostic which is where Momo got his “christian stories” about Jesus.

Like the Islamic tale of Jesus talking right after birth is from a gnostic text, directly copied, even including errors.

No that is from the Infancy gospel of Thomas, there is the incident of Jesus creating birds too which is from the same gnostic texts.

We are not talking about Matthew and Lukes infancy narratives but specifically the Infancy Gospel of Thomas which is of gnostic origin.

Momo committed many errors! Momo believed that Esa (Jesus) mother was Miriam, sister or Musa (moses) and Haroon (Aaron) and the daughter of Imran (Amram)! Talk about getting your stories mucked up. Also, the Jews knowing Momo fed him Jewish children’s fairy tales and Momo thought these were real! He had ZERO discernment of spirit

Oh yes, and if I recall I believe at some point he thought that Mary was part of the Trinity!
Quite a lot of errors.

Do you have any specifics on some of those Jewish fairy tales that Mohammed taught? I would not mind hearing more about that.

Yes the BVM, Jesus and Gd was the Trinity
Yes Solomons flying carpet is one of these childrens stories
Momo puts his own twist to the stories as usual

The Targum Sheni has the stories … Momo has his own spin. The Hoopi bird which found the Queen of Sheba for example now pimps prostitutes for Suliman in Momo’s version of the story.

Same form as your argument:

Jesus Christ is the true God and is the one God whom Christians worship.
Muslims do not worship Jesus Christ as the one true God.
Therefore, Muslims do not worship the one true God who is the one true God whom Christians worship.
Again, you get it wrong.

Substitute the word “Jews” for Moslems and the result is the same. There is no doubt that Christians and Jews worship the same God.
Well, that’s my point you see. Your “argument from fact,” to determine which God Muslim’s worship based upon the “fact” that Muslims worship the God of Abraham yields inconsistent results when used about the fact that Muslims don’t worship that same God who is the God Christians call Jesus. Jesus would call himself the God of Abraham, so do the Jews worship the God of Abraham (their idea of that God) or do they NOT worship the God of Abraham (Jesus)? Your argument seems useless to definitively answer that question, because it can be used to both determine that they do and that they don’t.

Same results when we attempt to use it to determine whether, in fact, Muslims worship the God of Abraham. If the God of Abraham is Jesus, then they clearly do not. In that case, if Jesus is the God of Abraham, and Christians cannot deny that, then since Muslims do not worship Jesus they do not worship the God of Abraham (who actually is Jesus.)

Therefore, since your argument “from fact” yields conflicting results it isn’t a reliable way to determine which God is being worshiped.

The fact that neither Muslims nor Jews worship Jesus who is himself the God of Abraham means they both do and don’t worship the same exact God. So do they or do they not worship that God? It is unclear from your argument from the fact of worship. It is ineffectual as a means to determine that.

Besides, is it the ostensible or nominal “object” of worship or is it the intention of the heart (and the conception of the object of worship) from which the “worship” arises that determines what is worshiped? It would seem that merely using the same identifying name does not necessarily indicate that different worshipers have the same reality in mind as their object of worship. That would need to be accounted for before we go grounding the entire case merely upon the name that is used to refer to what is being worshiped. Merely calling things by the same name does not guarantee anything.

What Americans call “football” is not the same reality as what the Europeans or Latin Americans call “football.” Yet, according to you, merely using the same referent – the God of Abraham – is all that is required to determine that the object of that referent is the same. I don’t think so.

In any case, I am bowing out of this thread for good since I have no interest in going down another rabbit hole.

It seems Mohammed was looking to attract both Jews and Christians into his sect, after all.

Sad, it is, that so many believe in false religions.

Gd leaves enough errors in the false religions that a person with critical thinking cannot ignore.

They worship the same God. They do not recognize that the God they worship is a Trinity.

Failing to recognize that that God is a Trinity of 3 Persons does not mean that they (Jews or Moslems) worship a different God.

What you present here is nothing new. The Church dealt with this in the earliest centuries. Your line of thinking has been considered fallacious for nearly 2000 years.

Your caricature of what I wrote is quite pathetic. I did not say that “all that is required” is to use the same word.

You obviously have problems with this. That’s your problem. It’s your issue to resolve.

It does not change the fact that Jews, Christians and Moslems all worship the same God. No reasonable person educated on this subject disputes it.
