I know there are people inside and outside the Church who want to change the practices of the Church. They would like for women to be ordained, abortion and ABC to be “sinless”, homosexual marriages to be blessed, etc. I understand that morality does not change, and that immoral things cannot be made moral.
But what about Celibacy for Priest? Now I have the utmost respect for Priests and the vows they make, and I am not suggesting the rules be changed. But the Church did change the rules about 1000 years ago. Is the current rule of Celibacy “carved in stone” or can it be changed?
