Is changing parishes allowed?

Is it okay to change parishes? Will my current parish get upset or question my leaving? How does one go about it? Can I just join another and not go to the other one any more? My current parish is just too liberal and doesn’t suit my personal needs. I only joined it because it is the closest and I need to have my son baptised…but I am second-guessing my decision to join now and want to go somewhere else. Is this allowed without any hassle? Thank you in advance.
