Ask the Italians who’s leaders recently passed a law that demanded no crucifixes be displayed in school classrooms. What was the response to it? The people absolutely will not accept it and began flooding schools with them. Now there are more crucifixes than every before.

I’m disappointed that, given the apparent research which went in to making this video, at 3:28 it shows the Republic of Ireland as being part of Britain. Ireland has seen huge immigration in the last number of years, but the Muslim population remains small. It is hardly surprising that France (especially) and Britain have high Muslim populations given their colonial past. At the moment, probably the biggest threat to Europe in terms of Christian-Muslim relations is Turkey’s proposed entry into the European Union. When Turkey joins, there will be free and unrestricted access for the Turks (as there is for all E.U. members) to all the other E.U. states - there will be freedom to travel, work and settle in any E.U. country.
Anyway, I agree with what DOShea said, that “populations stats don’t always reflect national attitudes nor do they reflect religious faith of a nation”. Christian Europe may seem to be at a low ebb at the moment, but I wouldn’t be planning the funeral just yet! We will need to work to revive it, but I don’t think Christian Europe is going anywhere (the only way is up!).

Thanks for that, Kindness. I think that article presents a strong case against that YouTube video - things certainly do look a lot different when they’re put in context. The purpose of the video, I think, is scare-mongering rather than the actual facts.

I think the same could be same for America, too 
There MIGHT be more people going to Church, but what kind of Church? Are they buying into a Joel Osteen mentality? Does that equate with religion, or motivation?

I hope the makers of the Lord of the Rings movies sue whoever made that video, as the introduction is a blatant rip off. Every time I see it I half-expect it to go ‘The world is changing. I feel it in the water…’
