Again what would convince an atheist to believe?

I cannot have him or her place their fingers in Christ’s wounds but will give it a shot.

As far as atheist in a fox hole, in combat never met a one.

Just as a follow up I am not passing Judgement God will do that.

I am stating my own life’s experiences and common sense.

I said:
would say that an atheist is one who puts own personal comforts above his beliefs and common sense

You said in your response “it is more about the person”–I, Me, Myself===What makes me feel good, Weither it is love, hate, sharing, or being moral.

" it is not more about the person", the individual, it is about faith, hope, love, and charity.

It is about believing there is a creator one greater than one self.

It is about reasoning and common sense and a lttle bit of faith.

As I indicated, there is no single answer as to what it would take someone to believe in a god. People’s minds think differently. Some are easily swayed, and some aren’t.

You didn’t answer my question as to what it would take for you to believe in another god.

As for being judgemental, your statement: “An atheists mind set is I swear there is no heaven and pray there is no hell. I have time to enjoy life rather than come at or above the line of belief and to conform.” sounds pretty judgemental to me. In many cases it’s not true. And to say that you know what’s in the minds of all those people sounds incredibly arrogant. It’s not exactly the humility that Jesus taught.

In my response “it is more about the person” I was referring to the fact that different people behave differently. Some are more prone to being morally good people than others are, regardless of a belief in a god. Morality exists independent of religions and independent of beliefs in gods.

As for focus on self, I think many christians focus on self just as much as anybody else: what do I have to do to get mySELF saved? To lead a virtuous life without being told to seems a step above simply following orders.
