Is Christianity the only religion that teaches if you don't forgive you are not forgiven?

I really don’t know much about other faiths…was this revolutionary?

I also wonder about other denominations that really seem to be spiteful toward different denominations

I have never heard anyone’s religion put down from the pulpit, but I don’t think that must go for everyone…🤷
 
Converts might know about one…I don’t expect everyone to know about every single religion

I am amazed at how much people here know about many topics

My guess would be that Hinduism and Buddhism could make a good argument that the whole Law of Karma operates on a similar premise…
 
From what I think I remember from Dr. Clark’s interview on ETWN, ALL karma is bad karma as karma keeps one on the wheel of rebirth.

Well, might argue that Karma is ‘action’ and nothing more… action is not the problem it’s our attachment to our actions which binds us. So there is a sense that one must work through their Karma but this really seems to mean that one must work through our ‘attachment’ to our actions.

Depends on how you define “karma”, “bad”, and “the wheel of rebirth”. 👍

I’m not a Buddhist scholar. I wouldn’t know. I’m a Catholic. I try to perform the 7 corporeal and 7 spiritual works of mercy. I know that will make it so I will be “re-born” into Eternal Life.
 
I believe that only Christianity has true forgiveness to those who repented from thier sins. Other religions does not have a clear teaching on forgiveness, the basic standard for them is to be good, offer sacrifices to thier idols, and they believe that “only yourself can save you.” In Hindu and Buddhism they believe in Karma, a cycle of life if not lived properly will start again in a different form, unless they do good works. In Islam there is no a definite forgiveness although they believe in the forgiveness of Allah and human, but the irony is this forgivenes is determined by Allah whether you repented or not. In Christianity, we asked for forgiveness, and if that is genuine the Holy Spirit regenerates the guilty which is a sign that God has forgiven him. The non-Christian religions teaches forgiveness in a temporary sense either their idols or themselves should determine it through self-sacrifice, rituals, and doing good works; these are contrary from the teachings of Jesus Christ.
