This is something of a contradiction.

Not really. It’s a big difference between repairing DNA damaged from aging, and extracting DNA from a fossilized corpse that doesn’t even have DNA anymore.

Any way you look at it, cloning a human being is patently wrong, but I still interject my point that if it can be done… it will be.

I didn’t mean to imply that you “claimed” to be inspired by the Holy Spirit on this issue. The reason I made that remark is because when we get into the book of Revelation there are many out there that claim that they do in fact have the one and only answer. This is especially true in Evangelical Protestantism. Take a look at some of the CAF writings on the left behind series.

I do like your idea of the image of the beast possibly being a clone. It is something that few if any scholars (legit and otherwise) have even thought of.
