NB: I hope that this thread will not degenerate into discussion of the wisdom of this practice – Only its implementation. (For what it is worth)
Inspired by my own ignorance on [post=4294012]another thread[/post], noting that Church documents dealing with the reception of Communion that I am familiar with are generally couched in terms similar to *“On the tongue or, in those areas where it is approved, in the hand” *I ask:
Are there areas where the indult for Communion in the hand is not in force?
While some valid answers might be *“directly in front of the Holy Father at recent liturgies” *or “in some specific parish”, I would be more keen to learn if there are any dioceses or whole episcopal conferences where the indult is not in force. (For instance, as I mention on that other thread, many web pages state that the conference in the Philippines previously aloowed it, but then rescinded the practice, but one of the correspondents avers that is not so)
Thanks. :tiphat:
