I never claimed that they do.

What I am claiming is that lack of fidelity MAY be an indication of intent. As such I will choose to participate in some other Mass.

And that’s fine for you to choose to participate in some other Mass (I would likely do the same if I believed my pastor were unfaithful). However, we should be clear that the Church places no such burden on the people.

Baptism by desire does not require a minister.

All sacraments require a minister. In the case of baptism, that minister doesn’t always have to be a priest. It can also be a layman. Priest or not, proper intent is required.

Bapsitm by desire, however, is not a sacrament.

Thank you! LOL It is exactly expressing my own opinion, clearly stated as my own opinion, that started this piggy pile.

My opinion is that it is incumbent upon lay people to find faithful and holy priests. We need to know what the church teaches and find the true liturgy in order to participate in the fullness of grace that Christ intended.
