I Recently Wanted To Start A Study Group At My Church That Is For Women. It Is Taught By One Of Ewtn Hosts. I Was Told By The Adult Faith Formation Director That The Aff Was Getting Phone Calls About This Hurting Women Because This Lady Teaches The Dogma Of The Church And Said That Women Should Not Artifically Contrcept.

When Our Priest Was Brought Into This He Said He Did Not Want To Open That Can Of Worms.

So Is It Ok To Contrcept?

Hi,

First of all, it is not necessary to capitalize the first letter of ever word. We prefer that you simply write out the question as you ordinarily would.

Father was ordained to administer the sacraments and preach the Word according to the teachings of the Catholic Church. The faithful have a RIGHT to such teachings and he is obliged to make them known, can of worms or not!

The Catholic Church teaches that it is a mortal sin to contracept. To contracept is to change the “yes” said at the wedding altar to a “No.” I suggest that you get a hold of “Good News About Sex and Marriage” by Christopher West. You can order it through shop.catholic.com or by phone: 888 291 8000.
