Is cross dressing a sin?

I wouldn’t say it’s a sin…like comparing it to sexual sins, or stealing…etc…I would say though that it could be a near occasion to sin. Why would a man want to dress like a woman–in all seriousness? I don’t want to get into transgendering issues, because I believe that is a whole separate issue, that involves a person feeling mentally and physically unhappy to the point of depression, over his/her gender. Cross dressing though can lead a person into near occasions of sin, because often, it’s done for sexual reasons. So, if something leads us to sinning…it would be best to avoid it. Just my :twocents:

Looks like most of my co workers wound up wearing pink women’s shirts. One threatened to wear a pink negligee but did not go through with it. I of course took the day off. This morning my boss asked me if I was gone because I didn’t want to join in. Let’s just say I am not expecting a promotion soon and have put out my resume. Yes, HR would get involved but he never said we had to and did not threaten anyone who did not. I have seen it to many times when those who bring up these issues may win the battle but always loose the war. As for leaving the company, this person is the anomaly and this company is the most moral large company I have ever worked with. They have even matched my donations to a Catholic charity.

Why is cross-dressing a sin? What harm does it do to anyone?

It’s not even specifically referred in the Bible according to my google search.

What you mean, Holly, is that you are insecure about your view of morality and don’t wish to be exposed to things which might corrupt it
Don’t put words in my mouth Pause. I do not appreciate that. I am not insecure about my own view of morality. I just personally find cross dressing to be very offensive and immoral. People should be satisfied with the gender they are.

My boss wants to increase awareness for a fund raiser (female oriented cancer reserch) and has asked all of his direct reports and everyone at his last staff meeting to wear “women’s” clothing. Our company, like most others, has been forced to support “Gay rights” and I am concerned that complaining about the cross dressing might be considered to be “defamatory” to gays. However, the company does recognize religious rights.

I know the Church bans homosexuality but allows things on the other end of the spectrum such as those things that are “unmannly” but not openly gay. Is cross dressing a sin or against our religion?
Y’alls company wants y’all to do what???
