ed, if you don’t mind me asking , what was it about Aloysium post that you found so disagreeable wasn’t he just bring up the whole idea Darwin"s of survival of the fittest and how this affects society.

There isn’t enough time and the odds are increasingly being shown against the possibility as we learn more about the programming of life.

Why did evolution cause dinosaurs to become Birds ?
One of the defining features of dinosaurs is their superb respiratory system, that is, their lungs. At a time when the oxygen level of earth’s atmosphere was rather low, about 10% as compared to the 21% that we have today, the first dinosaurs evolved a much more efficient lung configuration which allowed them to thrive in the low-oxygen environment. Briefly, it is a flow-through lung, as opposed to the sac lung which other land vertebrates (including you and I) have.

When the atmospheric oxygen level came back up toward 20%, the dinosaurs had lung capacity to spare, which set them up to become the dominant class of land animal for more than 100 million years.

As some dinosaurs evolved the capability of flight, the efficient lung gave them an advantage with respect to the high energy demands of sustained flight, and from them the birds evolved.

Pterosaurs, by the way, are not dinosaurs, and are not the ancestors of birds. They are flying reptiles, with the old-fashioned sac lung.

There is no evidence this happened. There was not enough time. The relatively rapid reduction in size meant relatively larger predators could get at these birds and their eggs. Not to mention birds that prey on other birds.

This is vague… what was the catalyst for dinosaurs to morph into birds ?

Who knows? An unguided, non-goal oriented concept, or so we are told. But there are problems regarding bone structure.

“Most birds have lightweight skeletons with hollow bones. This keeps them light enough for flight. Many fused bones, including the collarbones or wishbones, make birds’ skeletons rigid in comparison to mammals’.”

Organisms are always evolving in separate lines in different directions. Why did insects, pterosaurs, birds, bats, flying snakes, flying squirrels, and flying fish evolve flight? Because they could, and because it conferred a survival advantage for each in its respective environment and era.

As scientists study the complexity of various animal genomes, all findings point to far more highly complex structures, and internal programming, than originally thought. As the level of complexity increases, the amount of time required to produce these changes increases by a large amount. Beyond millions of years.

So we are to believe that there were alligator like creatures roaming around for millions of years that were half scale and half feathered ?

And what guided all the changes? An unintelligent, undirected, non-goal oriented process? And how did it know how to produce novel organs or additions like wings? Sounds like guesswork.

I don’t believe they evolved in the first place.

It was brought up in the context of the whole racial purity concept that was started by Darwin, expanded upon by Margaret Sanger and adopted by Nazi Germany. Eugenics by human means. That had nothing to do with is evolution true? Plus I have seen many, many propaganda pieces from the period. I found it - not the poster himself - sickening.

Very well. The Lord created them, over millions of years using a trick he invented, called “adaptation.”
