Sharp vs. flat teeth based on the diet of the creature, for example.
Yes ,God created some with sharp teeth and some flat teeth based upon where in the food chain he needed them to be, in order to support life on earth.

It still doesn’t explain the creation of novel organs or body parts. These parts are not car parts. They have to have the right blood supply, which means the heart has to be big/strong enough to keep those wings flapping. Far faster than a human could flap his arms. Eye-wing coordination would have to be high. They would have to have a connection to the brain through the nervous system. And for predatory birds like falcons, I saw one ‘thread the needle’ through a bush, looking for birds, at a level of precision unmatched by the best jet fighter.

And what guided all the changes? An unintelligent, undirected, non-goal oriented process?
Yes. Random small mutations together with survival of the fittest.
And how did it know how to produce novel organs or additions like wings?
It doesn’t “know” anything. By favoring the survivor, the process selects advantageous traits and suppresses disadvantageous traits.
Sounds like guesswork
A guess based on limited information is better than one based on no information at all. 😜

It was brought up in the context of the whole racial purity concept that was started by Darwin, expanded upon by Margaret Sanger and adopted by Nazi Germany. Eugenics by human means. That had nothing to do with is evolution true? Plus I have seen many, many propaganda pieces from the period. I found it - not the poster himself - sickening.
Ok thanks…that clears that up, I thought he took that personal which was kinda confusing, and is easy to do on the internet.

Random small mutations
Through what mechanism do you suppose this happens? Random mutations to genes seem to cause cancer and dysfunction these days. Where adaptation does occur, it’s been shown to happen because a gene has stopped functioning as a result of a mutation.

If my environment changed from dry to water I would need a body suitable for those conditions… right now. There is no time for random mutations to provide me with adaptations a million years later.

Right, how did half a dragonfly/half something else… survive?

Well, let’s consider “random.” I could go - let’s personalize evolution for a bit - and add wings, tails, legs, etc. In other words, we should be finding fossils, lots of fossils, with useless legs, arms, whatever. Those that didn’t succeed probably represent a larger pile of bones than those that did. Makes sense to me since an unguided process just keeps spitting out organisms until it stumbles upon the right combination.

And how are all these small random mutations causing all this “die out” of the previous organisms?

Yes. I don’t like that part. We can’t even talk on the phone.

Guys, you have what it takes to survive in this thread. No evolution necessary!

Gasp! What a relief. Thank you. I can rest easy now. I won’t evolve into a humanoid cockroach…

Ed 🙂

Shrouded in the mysteries of time. Millions and millions of years and… and… something. Maybe.
