I’ve often wondered about this as well. In conversations with my friends who like these sports, I have difficulty identifying the exact sinfulness of it–It need not be hateful, the fighting can occur among friends who grab beers afterwards (or something similar). I don’t know of anything in the Bible outlawing violence, per se. And it can, apparently, be a good workout, and even a good preparation in case one ever gets mugged… But here’s what I keep coming back to:
Could you imagine Jesus watching a boxing or UFC match and enjoying it? I can’t.
