Is going on diets, watching what you eat, and working out to lose weight and look good a sin? Is this being too concerned with one’s body and appearance?
On the contrary, taking reasonable care of one’s body is virtuous because the body is a gift of God and the temple of the Holy Spirit. Only if someone were to abuse his or her body through excessive dieting and exercise would there be a problem that should be addressed.
