Is disobeying your parents a sin?

I’ve read a couple of different articles on this site on the same topic, but I still have a few more questions. I’m a teenager so I do live under my parents’ roof and am in their care.
I have Instagram but when my parents found out they got super angry and made me take it off right away. I’m not a bad person and don’t do anything bad on there, but my parents don’t want me to have it anyway. It might just be because they don’t trust me, but I just want it anyway because it’s easier to connect with friends, looking at memes, and I enjoy looking at travel blogs and pictures of different places in the world.
Though I’m quite worried because I don’t want to go against God by doing these things and I don’t want to commit a sin either.
So I guess I’m asking like will I be committing a sin or go to hell by using it without my parents knowing because they don’t trust me, but doing nothing bad on it?
Thanks

I wouldn’t assume it will send you to Hell. But you do owe your parents obedience. The only exception would be if they told you to do something immoral, and that certainly doesn’t apply here.
There are other ways to communicate with friends, look at memes, etc. Ditch the Instagram.

Unless your parents are commanding you to do something immoral, it is sinful to disobey them.

You do not need instagram. Really, you have the rest of your life to look at memes.

You’re a minor, living in your parents’ home.
Instagram is not a necessity. It’s not like you need it to do your school work.
If your parents tell you to stay off instagram, you need to obey them.
Nobody on here is going to tell a minor it’s okay to disobey their parent, unless the parent is telling the minor to go rob a bank or something.

And yes, it’s a sin for you to use Instagram behind their back after they told you not to.
