Is divorce ok for adultery?

It has always puzzled me that the Church forbids ALL divorce, no matter what the circumstance, yet even Jesus Himself said it wasn’t allowed except for grounds of adultery.So then, why does the Church not allow it only in the case of adultery if Jesus said that was the one time it WAS ok to do so?
