Yep. I would imagine you are correct. And, with the issue of her coming into the Faith, I have exactly zero problem with the Diocese fast-tracking her paperwork through, (if that is in fact what happened). She was in a cycle of violence that seemed to be getting worse and worse and the sooner she got out of it the better.You are correct. The issue is that often times people act on what they think the Church does believe or will do rather than what She does do or will do. Sometimes things take time - in this situation I am pretty sure from what I know that she would have bumped up due to the fact that she was entering the Church and the decree of nullity may have had some bearing on her ability to do this (assumption but yes I know for a fact that dioceses do this)- but honestly while things are taking time it is a good time to heal. I have been through this myself and I know many women who have both online and in real life. I also have learned that most people that are most critical have very little experience with it.
I find it quite amazing that a girl who grew up in a house where abuse occurred managed to marry a man who ended up abusing her. She claims that there were no signs of this before the marriage at all.
