Is Easter Friday a day of penance?

Since the Church declares that Easter and Christmas last for eight days, is Easter and Christmas Friday considered days of penance? :confused:
Thanks for helping.
 
The days of penance are Fridays except on solemnities.

The Octave days of Easter and Christmas are solemnities, hence the Fridays should not be days of penance.
