I am having an affair with a married person. But it is a harmless affair because the person who i’m having an affair with loves his wife very much and does not intend to leave her or anything for our relationship. I’m also content with the fact that i’m not doing any harm to his marriage and we are not in a relationship like other extramarital affairs where people do it for fun. We really love and care for each other. Can this relationship still be justifiable? Or is it a sin?

Dear friend,

You are “content” that you are not doing any harm because you are in deep denial. You would not be so “content” that no harm is being done if you were his wife and she was having the affair. GET A CLUE: a married person owes all his or her romantic affection to his or her spouse—and to no one else. The man you are having an affair with is being unfaithful to his wife and you are enabling him to do this—which is mortally sinful, not to mention despicable. You need to go to Confession and then stay away from romancing married men!
