I was reading a book and one of the characters made me angry.
What happened in the book was this.
A smart student, who knew the alphabet and read a few things for the teacher. Was told to, tell her father to stop teaching her. I think in the book she says she doesn’t remember being taught, except for writing. She remembered being told/asked to write. ( By the way, the book is “To Kill A Mockingbird”, by Harper Lee Don’t plagiarize! } )
What really annoyed me was the teacher saying that to the student. This probably comes from my pride. but when I think, people think they know more than someone else it really makes me mad. And it really annoyed me that the teacher said, to tell her father to stop teaching her. My reaction was, “why would you say that?!”. It’s hard for me to explain what I mean.
Anyway, After I felt this hostility and anger (It even made me feel that if I were that student, I would think of talking back to the teacher, ( I hope I didn’t think of actually talking back to the teacher). ( I imagined being in the student’s position ). Is it possible I sinned? I hope I didn’t. But I do feel guilty. I hope that I didn’t have full consent of will.
