I was reading a book and one of the characters made me angry.

What happened in the book was this.

A smart student, who knew the alphabet and read a few things for the teacher. Was told to, tell her father to stop teaching her. I think in the book she says she doesn’t remember being taught, except for writing. She remembered being told/asked to write. ( By the way, the book is “To Kill A Mockingbird”, by Harper Lee Don’t plagiarize! } )

What really annoyed me was the teacher saying that to the student. This probably comes from my pride. but when I think, people think they know more than someone else it really makes me mad. And it really annoyed me that the teacher said, to tell her father to stop teaching her. My reaction was, “why would you say that?!”. It’s hard for me to explain what I mean.

Anyway, After I felt this hostility and anger (It even made me feel that if I were that student, I would think of talking back to the teacher, ( I hope I didn’t think of actually talking back to the teacher). ( I imagined being in the student’s position ). Is it possible I sinned? I hope I didn’t. But I do feel guilty. I hope that I didn’t have full consent of will.

No, you didn’t sin. Good books often provoke strong emotions. Keep reading… there is more you’ll get really angry about I predict.

No, you did not sin. I would venture to say you have experienced righteous indignation! Good writers write to make a point through “poetic argumentation”, and this argument is accomplished through your reaction to the material. You are reacting correctly to what you have read.
God bless

That’s one of the benchmarks of a good author…the ability for their words to cause the reader to feel something.

No, you did not sin.

But to me you sound very scrupulous and I would STRONGLY suggest getting that under control before it tortures you to the point of damaging your faith.

Peace.
