I was reading the book of Hosea when it said:
“All their misfortune began in Gilgal; yes, there I rejected them. Because of their wicked deeds I will drive them out of my house. I will love them no longer; all their princes are rebels.” (9:15)
This really confused me.
I remembered reading in the book of Isaiah:
”You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth and summoned from its far-off places, To whom I have said, You are my servant; I chose you, I have not rejected you—” (41:9)
And also:
“Because you are precious in my eyes and honored, and I love you, I give people in return for you and nations in exchange for your life.” ( 43:4 )
Is theres some context in Hosea that I might be missing? Because these verses from Hosea seem slightly contrary to the verses within Isaiah.
