I tend to think that God looks upon us like parents look upon their children. The scripture says that God delights to give good gifts to his children. I imagine it’s like ourselves when we’ve bought something special for someone and can’t wait until they open it. We have much joy in anticipating the other’s joy and we hope they like the gift we bought. I think God is the same way. He has good things stored up for us and it is his delight to give us good gifts.
Enjoyment in life is one of his gifts. I think it makes God happy to see us having good innocent fun. As long as we don’t forget him in the process and we remember to thank him for the joy in our lives.
