Is God Author of Evil and Sin?

Do you feel that God is Absolutely Sovereign and Created sin as his divine plan? If you do I would like to hear your reasoning. Is this a Calvinistic view of origins of sin? Did god create Satan to Rebel? I would like any responses to this.

Isaiah 45:7 (KJV) - “I form the light and create darkness. I make peace and create evil. I the LORD do all these things.”

NASB translation uses “Calamity” instead of “Evil”, but the original Hebrew word “Ra” (רָע strong’s #7451) means “bad or evil”, so the KJV is more accurate.

God created all that is good. Therefore, anything contrary to the goodness God created is evil. Satan probably had free will as well.

Laughs I remember when I was a little kid I asked my dad if God grew into his omnipotence as time grew on because I couldn’t figure out why God made Satan

I don’t think that God created evil, rather I think that God created beings with free will, which in and of itself is a good thing, but one that by it’s very nature allows for a capacity for evil.
