Is God responsible for evil for not offering Beatific Vision as a gift?

God knew His creatures would eventually commit evil yet He created them. He also didn’t offer Beatific Vision to His creature, the only way to prevent evil. So He left His creature waiting for evil to happen.

When you find yourself still alive after your last breath, without any presence of God, then you will know hell.

I don’t understand how this could be related to the subject of this thread. Are you saying that I will go to Hell?

Hopefully not, I wouldn’t like to suffer for ever, however he creating me would be responsible for that happening, that if I were never born, that would have never happened.

It’s related because the presence of God is everywhere except in hell. Some already have an intense vision of God and others not. It’s dependent on how much we are disposed to have of his fire and light. Those close to him are warmed by that fire and see light in his light. And ironically, perhaps, those farthest from him are burned and blinded by it. And no, I’m not saying anyone in particular is going to hell. That’s for you to decide, not me. 😉

Who says He didn’t offer the Beatific Vision? Scripture says He walked and talked, seemingly quite directly, with Adam and Eve.

In any case they had everything needed to avoid sin. So do we. Our sins are not unavoidable destiny, they are our choice.

I can have a child and provide that child with the best possible upbringing and everything it needs in life. That child can choose, against my will and through none of my doing, to squander those gifts.

The Beatific Vision is the greatest gift
A chance to spend eternity in His presence in sheer bliss.

What are YOU talking about?
Or, better, why are you so angry with God?

How do you believe railing against him will benefit yourself?

We were given free will, we could have gone either way. We still can atone. We don’t know what God actually allowed them to see. Your posts are getting clearer, you are learning…but have a very long way to go.

Right,
I’m always amazed that people who reject the idea of a good and holy God care deeply about going to hell.
Seems rather inconsistent, at a minimum.

This logic is flawed because God shared the Beatific Vision with the angels, yet 1/3 of them turned their back on Him.

The reason there is evil is because we were given free will. We each make he choice to accept God’s plan or not. And we all choose to be selfish or selfless.

God Bless & Happy Labor Day.

We wouldn’t go to hell if we did not CHOOSE IT. You are free to choose heaven or hell at any time.
Is it? for example, I did not choose Hell or Heaven, and if they do exist, they were imposed on us, a bet, a choice to make that we didn’t ask to be a part of it, and God would be responsible for souls that exist in both Heaven and Hell and that they ended up there because they were created.

It’s for the sake of argument, following the logic that If God and Hell existed.

It would be ridiculous and not wise to stand against God if you believe He exists and as He is described in a specific religion, that would not be a win situation, an all powerful being would always win.

Sorry, but have you heard of the Dark Night of the Soul? Job? Just because someone isn’t feeling sensations of God’s presence strongly, doesn’t mean they are far away from God.

The dwelling of our Lord is a holy place without the smallest blemish in the environment. We are created to populate it. So that would have us eventually living in his Holy domain. His reason why he doesn’t simply give everyone it’s gifts, is that he desires that we show some allegiance through works and respect; that we prove we can behave and make good choices on earth even under atrocious conditions. That makes sense even on earth. We want lawful people in our neighborhood so that we have a safe environment to raise our families.

God knows your heart. If you choose to ignore the evidence that has been presented to you, then you are choosing not to be with God. But if you were not presented with good evidence, God knows.

Basically, if you are open to the truth (aka open minded to evidence provided to you about the existence of God) and live a moral life, God may have mercy on you. But if you harden your heart and/or even work hard to convince others that God does not exist, then you very well might be choosing hell.

I pray this is helpful.

Does it?

My father is not good or holy, but I would rather be on his good side than to have him say, kick me out of the house and leave me homeless and hungry…
Likewise, I’d rather be with a cold God than to be tortured forever??

This seems like a very flawed analogy.

What in God’s house is of any threat to us?

It also seems to imply that those not in heaven have been kicked out, as opposed to having refused the invitation to enter in.
