I believe if God is calling us to the sacrament of marriage then, just like with Tobias, He will find a way to lead us to our future spouses. God has chosen our spouses before we were born and He knows every decision that we will make in our lives. He also knows percisely the time in our life when we will be ready for marriage (some of us may never be ready). That doesn’t mean that there won’t be heartbreaks and bad decisions along the way but we have to look at this as experiences that are preparing us for the real thing!
So, in short, yes I do believe that God writes our love stories, but that he writes them within the constraints of our personal decisions and the path we all take to find God in our own lives!
