I recently saw a thread where people disagreed about whether or not having a cold was a valid reason to miss Mass. I didn’t pay much attention to it at the time since it didn’t apply to me, but lo and behold, this past Sunday I ended up catching a cold. I decided not to go to Mass because of my sickness and because I would have been late to Mass. Both reasons factored into my decision - not just the sickness. I did run a few small errands and attended my father’s birthday dinner that day, despite being sick.
I have two questions about this:
