Also, let’s not be distracted too much by the homosexual angle here. This would also be true if a heterosexual woman felt “trapped” in such an abusive relationship, and felt she had no choice but to submit to a man’s sexual demands, or be thrown out onto the streets.
Or hetero male… it is 2016, women do this to men too fyi.

Of course, I do know that women can abuse and sexually exploit men, too, Indeed, that’s been happening even before 2016. Sunset Boulevard is essentially about that kind of abusive relationship. I wasn’t trying to make some anti-male point, please don’t read too much into that.

It also seems this man is being prevented from attending Mass by his “partner”, that is also abusive, but I doubt the man is in mortal sin for this. Much as young people living with parents with no alternate transportation, are also not guilty of mortal sin if the parents refuse to drive them to Mass.

I didn’t mean to say you were… I attend far too many sensitivity trainings… I am permanently stuck on the mindset to buck against the onesided narrative of such 😛 I can’t help myself lol

I received a troubling message from a young man on the internet, he asked me a question that I can not answer. He lives in a constant state of turmoil and wants to know if he is going to Hell. I told him to type what he wanted to ask and that I know this great forum to ask. So please give me good, honest and kind advice to tell him. “I am a male in my twenties who suffers from severe depression and anxiety disorder. The state has declared me mentally ill. I desire with all my heart to serve Jesus, go to Mass, and receive the sacraments. I try to do good all the time and despise sin. Yet, I am trapped in an awful situation. I am kept from going to church to become Catholic and am denied to fully pursue Jesus as I want. I am trapt in a homosexual relationship and I have no way to escape. I pray daily for deliverance and have heard from Jesus that He will deliever me. I pray daily to do God’s will, but I am forced to commit sin if I don’t he will throw me out. I have no where to go and no family and with my mental illnesses I know I will die. So to me it would be suicide to leave. Jesus knows my heart, I don’t desire this but only Him. I promised Him when He delievers me I will go to Mass every time I can and not sin anymore. I do not drive and can not work. Am I going to Hell?”
The Catholic Exorcists of the Vatican and catholic deliverance lay evangelists have found that some cases of mental illness are actually spiritual problems, spiritual oppression or partial possession.
If he has committed homosexual acts, even the retired Head President of the International Association of Catholic Exorcists, Fr Gabriel Amorthe (retired head exorcist of Rome,) has said that breaking the Commandments seriously, and continuously, in a grave and grievous manner, can cause demonic oppression or possession.

Tell him his mental illness could be a temporary spiritual problem for a life in mortal sin.

If he.confesses and leaves that sin behind, his mental problems could actually disappear.

Grievous serious continuous mortal Sins, especially those of a sexual nature, even catholic psychologists say,
destroys the mental stability of a person and that of their soul.

Tell him.there is a way out of being stuck in accommodation with someone who is demanding horrible acts from him. If he thinks and prays about it long enough he will receive an answer.

Tell him to refuse that person.
A lot of the early church martyrs died rather than giving up.their virginity or Christ.

Tell him.to read “The Miracle Ship” by Brian O’ Hare, available on amazon.com as paperback or ebook download onto thr free Kindle app on any electronic device,

And.to go to www.larrycummins.ie
And read the two free online books there

Both are stunning catholic books about deliverance

He should report the guy who is being cruel to him.??
Tell him to defend himself, say no, and see what Jesus does.jesus defends those who defend God.

As someone with a diagnosed mental disorder is he not entitled to accommodation at a clinic or state funded accommodation?
So he can leave that person who is demanding mortal sins from him

Tell him he cannot continue committing mortal sins, for whatever blackmail that person is holding against him,

He has a Mansion in Heaven, that is far more important than committing evil to be allowed stay in his current accommodation.

Our Lady has said in apparitions, “Earth is a blink compared to the forever of Eternity!!”

Tell him.fight for Jesus, say no, report that guy to police or social services? And Jesus will look after him and make sure he has a roof over his head.

If he reports this to social services, they should look after him and put him in safe accommodation??

The only answer that matters is one in real life from a PRIEST.
Ask him to go see one.
And yes, also pray for him.
I will too.
1000 times this.

Some things just can’t be handled well over the internet. If he is feeling this depressed and trapped and is legitimately mentally ill, even the most compassionate, articulate email you send him is not going to be a magic cure all. He needs to talk to someone in person who has his spiritual, mental, physical, emotional well-being in mind. That’s what priests are there for.
