I heard Scott Hahn (I’m not a bigtime fan or anything but I loved Rome Sweet Home) say that he was amazed in finding as a Presbyterian minister that the Book of Hebrews was highly liturgical in nature.
I was just reading through chapter ten, and I must admit, it seems to have strong implicit Eucharistic undertones–and even outlines the basics of the Mass! I was blown away.
But is this just reading too much into it? Was it really like a mini-catechism for Jewish converts like some suggest?
Your thoughts?
