We go to heaven for eternity so that is outside of time but we can step back into time like at the resurrection. If hell is a place is it also outside of time because we are taught that it’s eternity?

I hope I’m clear 🙂

It is likely outside of our time, just as heaven is, but there is still a sense of a progression of some kind of time, that is separate from our own.

Also, we are not there for ‘eternity’ because ‘eternity’ implies no beginning and no end, which is why we say that God is ‘eternal’, because He has no beginning and no end, because He is the beginning and the end (Alpha and Omega).

It would be more correct to say that we are in Heaven or Hell forever.

Although we are not eternal in our natural self, we become eternal in the next life. It is different from the eternity of God however, in that we have not always been. Saint Thomas called this state “aeviternity” in having a beginning and no end.

Hell and Heaven are outside of time, which as we know it, is a result of the entropy in our world and natural bodies. The soul ( and the pneumatikon soma) have no entropy and so no time.
