I never realy considerd hinduism.
Only Christian denominations and Islam.

It seems Hinduism is older then I thought, and I see no reason to remain ignorant of it.

Dose hindu religion have any fruits to show for itself, such as resurections…miracle healings…etc…etc?

Yes it is older than those. It is debatable, however, if Judaism or Hinduism is older (By Judaism I mean beginning with Abraham).

Hinduism has of course claimed miracles, just as any other religion. But as far as fruits go I think one needs to consider India. It is a very impoverished country with a rigid caste system. Some Hindu’s are actively committing violence against the Church. Hindu “gurus” con the poor out of their money, etc.

I have no issue with studying other faith systems. You should be fore-warned that SOME in hinduism will say that you can embrace Jesus AND hinduism or that they are brother faiths leading to the same place.

They are not.

I must investigate hinduism.
Just as I arived at The Catholic church because of its unbroken line back to peter.

Hinduims claims of being unbroken from even before then must be investigated.

It dose not matter that there are poor hindus…because there are poor Catholics. Coruption in hinduism dose not matter anymore
then coruption in The Catholic church.

What matters is the reality of the faith. Can it deliver what it promises. Is there power behind the rituals or is it powerless?

I have bounced around different Christian denominations…testing and searching for God…different denominations offer different things.

However I have never tested Islam
nor hinduism…nothing prevents me from doing so, however I am not sure where to get acurate information.

If age of system is all that matters, why not be an animist?

Why not worship your ancestors?

No, it cannot deliver what it promises. There IS certainly great power in it’s rituals, but they are simply handles for demons to yank hindu adherents around with.

How do you intend to “test”, or “evaluate”, hinduisms “value” to you as a “path to God”?

The Church (Catholic) is not a denomination. It is THE Church (the one suitable religion of all humanity). The so-called “denominations” need to be “de - nominated”, or “named”, because they need to differentiate themselves from both THE Church and each other.

But then, you know that, don’t you? 🙂

Accurate information about what aspects of these religions?

Why not? LOL
Age of system is the primary evidence The Catholic Church has that it is the True Christian faith.

Yes age indicates it is the true CHRISTIAN faith, but plays no part in the claim to be the only true faith. We claim to be the true faith because Christ claimed to be the way.

What some say dose not matter in any faith. The REALITY not what people say is what matters. People
listen to what “people say” and sometimes it makes them feel good. But the Reality is what matters.

Actually the corruption in Hinduism does matter. The caste system is an intrinsic part of Hinduism, not a transient sin. Claiming men are not born equal is wrong and necessarily leads to treating those lower than you as animals or mere possessions.

No it can’t deliver what it promises, its rituals do nothing but offer praise to nonexistent gods and goddesses. The Church can deliver what it promises and claims uniqueness in doing so.

I know what a denomination is, I am from one.
And how do you know Hinduism canot deliver?

Its interesting that the denomination I am from dose not GIVE you anything but a belief. Many people with good jobs among Jehovahs witnesses Got them BEFORE joining the faith…the faith itself deliverd nothing. How do “I” know? I worked at there world headquarters one of the highest privledges they can give you. And all the faith could do is have people work for free LOL.

It will be easy to test the faith.
Can there God give there followers anything? Abraham was rich…abrahams son was second only to pharoh…David was king…solomon was given great wisdom!
Moses split the read sea. The Apostles performed miracles. Sacred scripture makes it clear that there is a huge distinction between a follower of the True God and a pagan.

I am guessing that in other holy books of different faiths, the Presence of God is just as evident.

God dose not change, so it is evident today.

Prophet Adam (p) surrendered himself to God Almighty . Thus he is a Muslim . So , no way Hinduism is the eldest of Islam 🙂
… I see no reason to remain ignorant of it.
I can give u one info . Like Christians , Hindus also believe in the Trinity .

Hinduism canot fairly be judged based of what a different faith says is right or wrong.

Christians were involved in a simular system called slavery. I don’t think any system treated people MUCH worse then slavery did. And it took a war to end it, not christianity itself…LOL you would think christians would have been bleesed with atleast enugh wisdom to know that was wrong.

But in some places christians seemingly STILL are racist.
So why judge hinduism?

Its hard to get information because I don’t know even one hindu.

What proof do you have of the power of your God?

Or should I say the power of your faith, it seems its possible Christians and muslims worship the same GOD.

The Church does now and has always taught all men are created equal and in the image of God. People may not have listened but the Church taught. Hinduism teaches men aren’t equal. In the former case individuals are guilty of sin in the later the religion teaches sin. To accept Hinduism is to accept that a caste system is good and the desire of God.

.
To make this claim you must also claim the Catholic Church is wrong in matters of faith and morals. Is that your claim?

God is the ultimate truth is he not?
Find God and there is no need of a pointless discusion of a cast system…which exists in christianity anyway…AND THAT IS THE POINT.

What dose it matter if things are taught, but people are not impowerd to follow?
I have been present in RCIA when herasy was discused. What is the point of teachings people are famouse for not following?

Is there a faith that impowers its people to follow its teachings?
If not, then it did not hurt to look.

Ofcourse there are good members of all faiths that follow its teachings. But which teachings make its followers BENEFIT the most?
Is it not strange that an American football player can be just as happy as a member of a christian denomination?

Is there a faith that elevates its followers to look like they are following a God?

Where is a caste system in Catholicism? To find God one must flee from error because God isn’t there. To declare men to not be equal is error and thus God isn’t there. So you won’t find him in Hinduism.

Because the Truth is not relative it is fixed and unmovable. No matter what people do or want to hear the Church teaches truth.

Look to the examples of the Saints and you will see the Church did empower them to follow its teachings. It does so for all the faithful but they must choose to follow.

Benefit? If gold is what you are looking for, then Catholicism is not for you. Catholicism teaches you to suffer for the Kingdom and to be prepared to give up all the pleasures of this world for the sake of Christ. Christ didn’t come to enjoy the pleasures of this world but to suffer and die. Anyone that seeks only pleasures will be damned.

Try reading the Book of Job, you make the same mistake as those Jesus condemned by equating a good life with the favor of God.
Is there a faith that elevates its followers to look like they are following a God?
As above look at the Saints.

The origin of the caste system lies in the Hindu concept of swadharma, the truth of one’s being. A person should discover their true nature and be true to it - including what type of external activities/career/etc. are consistent with that.

Over the centuries the original teaching was corrupted in practice by ordinary humans with their prejudices and ambitions. Anyone who thinks there is not a very similar caste/class system based on skin color and social & financial status of recent ancestors in so-called Christian countries is seriously deluded.

Even with all this corruption on the general level, anyone taking to the spiritual life as a vocation in Hinduism loses their caste - whether it was high or low or anywhere in between.

What those Hindus are referring to is not a claim that their religion can be accommodated within Catholicism.

Rather it is a claim that Jesus and Christianity can be accommodated within the context of Hinduism.
