A few families at my church hold hands during the Our Father. They don’t hold the hands of the people sitting next to themin the pew–it’s just the family members who hold hands.
Other individuals hold their arms out, elbows bent, and turn their hands palms upward.
I don’t remember seeing this as a kid in the 60’s and 70’s. Is this a pre-Vatican II posture that is being renewed? Or is it something new?
Is this something we’re all supposed to be doing?
