This is contrary to the teachings of the Catholic Church. You may want to double check the Catechism’s teaching on Homosexuality. Ok, sorry, haha. I was posting hastily at the time and did not quite understand the meaning of what you said. :)That doesn’t count the religious ones who committed suicide because they felt shame and self-loathing because of the attractions.Hi Peter,
It may be difficult for you or I to understand this, (I, personally, find an act of homosexuality to be abhorrent; I’d be disgusted in myself if I ever partook in such an act) but some people, for one reason or another, get convinced that being gay or lesbian is the way to go. In this situation, people DO want their “kids” to carry on their livestyle, even if they hide it behind the shield of professing sexual freedom.

People who have fallen into this sin are convinced it is good, but when they inevitably realize it has been the empty shell of true, beautiful sexuality they are filled with anguish. It’s like being given the orange peel when everyone else has eaten the orange.
As to the last thing you said, that I choose to see gays as evil, I will simply say this is not true. As with anything, I love the sinner and hate the sin. It may seem that I am trying to discriminate against gays, but really I’m just fighting the terrible sin of homosexuality which ravages our culture, leaving deep wounds in its wake.
